The Benefits Of A Bamboo Water Fountain

The bamboo water fountain may not be on everyone's shopping list but for many, it's a chance to bring alive some of the peace and wisdom associated with a Japanese garden.

The mere thought of setting up a fountain may put people with little technical expertise off, however, you'll surprise yourself how simple it is to erect a bamboo fountain.

One of the more popular versions of bamboo fountains is the Deer Chaser and as the name implies, that's exactly what it was intended for. It's hard to put a price on a fountain like the Deer Chaser but you could pay anything up to $70.

For those who love a project from start to finish then going out and buying the raw materials and assembling the fountain yourself will certainly be a lot cheaper. However, in this instance you will still need to know the intricacies of a working bamboo water fountain although they are not a complicated item to erect.

A bamboo water fountain can be used inside or outside and as we are concentrating on the outside version in this article, be sure the bamboo you purchase is extra solid as you don't want the fountain cracking.

Another tip is to use a protective finish. An outside bamboo fountain is going to be subjected to all types of weather conditions so you want to avoid your fountain either cracking or developing mold early in it's life.

For 20-30 dollars, you could easily make several fountains. Add a little extra for the pump and it shouldn't be too long before you are enjoying the soothing effects of a bamboo water fountain.
